Just another Holiday

Today was just another holiday for me. I woke up at about 11 and after having breakfast watched some TV. My sisters and brother came home at about 1:30 and then my mother at 2:30. Today I also completed reading my e-book. It was of 397 pages but the one which I was dying to read and after reding it I felt as if it was over too soon. It was the last among the seven-book series. And it was too good to be over. After that I didn't do much. Just sitting and then at around six my father came back from Madinah where he went yesterday for some work. Then it was the same as before.

School Started

Today was the first day of the third semester. As usual I got up at six in the morning. There was very little sunlight by the time I went out to my stop (the place where my bus waits). I didn't feel sleepy in the bus. I reached the school at about 8:20. Many boys in my class were absent and the class seemed very quiet in the beginning. The only subjects taught today were english and mathematics. That too in english just one notice and about three problems in mathematics. In the last period we were taken to the auditorium. The headmaster of the classes sixth-eight had passed away and we were there just praying for him. It was announced that there will be a holiday tomorrow due to the reason. And after that I was back on my way home. This time also I didn't sleep in the bus. Actually, I rarely sleep in the bus. After coming home at about 4:30, I had my lunch, prayed Asr, waited for Maghrib and after praying it about six I went to sleep. I then woke up at around 8:30, read a e-book I had downloaded earlier and nothing much after that.

Eid to Now

Here, Eid was on Wednesday and on Thursday some of my paternal cousins from Jeddah came over. I went back to their home with them however while going there we had ice-cream. After that it was much fun. We didin't sleep the whole night; watched some TV and played cricket. We slep at 5 in the morning. The following day was Friday so we had to wake a bit earlier for the Salah. We didn't do much after that.This night too was the same. Then at 5 pm the next day we set out for the beach called Abhur. There we flew kites for some time and then barbecued chicken, which we had brought completely spiced and ate after making. Then we sat for some time and came back home. While coming we had ice-cream again. This night was also the same and so was the next night. On saturday we went to the house of my paternal cousin's paternal cousins. There it was very boring. After I came back to my cousin's home in some time my mom and dad come to take me. Then at 1:30 at night I was back at my home.

Yesterday, that is on Sunday we went to the Haram Museum. It was brilliant. I had shot some videos there. I will soon extract take some pics from that.

Yesterday's Eid

I forgot to write the post yesterday but am doing it now. I went to the Haram for the prayer. We went at 6:30. It was difficult getting a taxi but we found one in a short time. After we reached Haram we thought the prayer will start very soon but we had to wait some time. Many Hajis had already arrived there and the courtyard near the Kaabah was completely full of people doing Tawaf. The prayer started at about 7:15. After the prayer there was the sermon which ended at around 8 and then while going home we had pizza.

After coming home my mother and father went to sleep but I sat at the computer playing Command and Conquer. Then by the time my siblings woke up I switched it off. And soon after I also went to sleep.

After that it was a pretty boring day with the regular routine.

'Empty Haram' Or So I Thought

Today I fasted as it was the day of Arafat, the most important day in the Hajj. Then for Isha we went to the Haram. I thought it would be very empty as most people must be in the Hajj but reaching there we found out it wasn't so. There was much rush with more ladies than men. My mum and dad told me it must be the people from nearby villages and towns reserving places for the Eid prayer tomorrow. It must be around 7 in the morning when the Eid prayer will take place. But after that the rush particularly near the Kaabah seemed to reduce. We sat there for some time then we went out. Opposite to the Haram are many towers with shopping centres and hotels in them. We usually go to the Hilton. In there my little brother had a doughnut and remaining of us had Cinnabons. After eating it there we cam home by taxi. In these days we don't use the car as there won't be any place to park it.

I would have put up some pictures I took but my brother is currently playing with the mobile in which I took the pictures, so I will try some other time.

Boring Days

As I am not going to school nowadays I don't have much to blog about. But still I am spending enough time surfing the internet. I have also started downloading movies from the internet. However, I have not been able to find good enough sites. So far I have been using Stage6 and QuickSilverScreen. Many sites are also blocked here. I also played a good MMORPG today. It was good because it was free, no download was required and it was free. Or else I wouldn't have cared to go through it.

Today my maternal Aunt and Uncle arrived at our home for Hajj which will be starting on Tuesday. And I have started reading the Harry Potter books for the third time.

Easy Enough

Yesterday, on tuesday was my social sciences exam. I didn't get time yesterday to write a post so am doing it today instead. In the previous days I had revised just twice as I had already studied the subject. The paper was pretty easy and not very lengthy also. However I won't get full marks as I couldn't do the map-marking properly. It was a bit difficult but I could have done it if I had studied it properly. I find everything in social easy except for geography. I don't know why but its really tough at least for me.

This was my last exam and also the last day of school before the Hajj Vacation. I don't really know when the school will re-open but it will be after the 31st of december because that day is the result. I just hope I will get good enough marks.

Some of our relatives are expected to come for Hajj but they haven't come yet. But I think that they will surely come.

The Best English Exam

Today was the best English exam I have given in this school. I did each and every question. So I am expecting full marks. While coming today also my bus changed to the one which I like.

I installed and used RealPlayer 11 today. Its a great software. I easily downloaded many videos and also listened to live radio.

Another Friday

Today my father woke me up at 11:30. I was still feeling tired. After that I took a bath, had breakfast and we were out for the Jumuah Salah by 12:30. While coming back we went to buy some stuff. I then had a revision for my next exam which is English. After I finished it, I watched some TV. Then by 7 my sister's came at my home. And so the drawing room was locked out for 3 and a half hours. I don't know what exactly they did but she tells me they watched movies. There was a lot of noise when they were here. But everything was all right. I was pretty bored during that time as the TV and computer both are in the drawing room.

The Science Exam

Today was my science exam. I did very well in it. However as always there were flaws. Most of the marks I will lose most will be in physics. The only problem I have is with the teacher as i mentioned in earlier posts. One of the invigilators for the exam was a bit weird. He scolded and changed the place of a student just because he was asking for a scale.

My bus didn't change today. There was also an exam of class sixth and seventh. Today something other weird happened. I couldn't sign in to my Yahoo! account for sometime. But the problem resolved by itself. After that i followed my regular routine.

Science Exam Tomorrow

Tomorrow is my science exam. I had completed studying for it yesterday but revision is always necessary. So I had two revisions today; one at 2 another at 9. I spent most of the time on biology as it has the most portion. Chemistry also took enough time due to all the formulas and stuff.

My sister went to her friend's home today. It was a peace of mind, but just for three hours. She returned at 10. Then at 10:30 I had dinner, then sat on the net.

The Arabic Examination

Today was my Arabic exam. The question paper was given to us at 9; but the answer sheet at 9:15. I think its a good way because after we get time to read the questions as after I get the answer sheet i become very tense. I will probably get about 86. I may lose about 5 marks in grammar. We have to give the definitions in English with a few examples in Arabic. But I forgot half the definitions of two of three topics I chose. There were four in total. We have to give translations of passages in English, a few fill in the blanks, a poem in Arabic which we have to translate, give explanation of, making sentences, translating English sentences into Arabic and vice-versa etc.

After coming home had lunch, slept, woke up, talked to a cousin living in the US. Then at about 7 I started studying physics. The only problem I have with Physics is the teacher. He can't control the class, as a result there is a lot of noise and moreover his voice is very low. Now I have completed studying science. Its exam is on Thursday. I just have to make a complete revision once. I have just got 2 chapters in physics and chemistry each and about 5 chapters in biology.

I also downloaded SpeedBit Video Accelerator today. Its a great software. It speeds up video buffering fast enough for you to watch peacefully.

Arabic Exam Tomorrow

Today after waking up at about 1:30, having breakfast, i started studying. Arabic is a particularly easy subject. I studied till about 4:15. We mostly have 'this is this' and 'that is that'. We also have translations of the passages, poems and some grammar so it took just a short while. For maths I think I spent about 13-14 hours -- in total that is. Then I watched some TV. Then at about 7:30 I started studying a chapter in science.

I had dinner at about 10:30. Then I sat on the net, chatting and doing other things. Tomorrow I have an exam and I also have to make a revision.

Maths Examination

Today was my maths examination. It wasn't tough; but very lengthy. I will lose 11 marks because there were a few questions I couldn't do and one which I could but there wasn't enough time. Overall it went fine. I will get 69 marks out of 80. We get 20 marks separately for practicals which were taken separately. I did very well in it too. I will hopefully score full in it.

After the examination my bus changed. The buses usually change during examinations as there will be less boys during particular days. Today I reached home by 1:30. After that I had lunch and went to sleep. I woke up at 5:30 wasted some time and started studying a chapter of chemistry although I have got Arabic next. Its exam is on tuesday. So tomorrow thats what I will be studying.

A short Note On My Life

I am 13-year old. I live in the Holy City of Makkah in Saudi Arabia. I have been living here since I was 7. At that time I was in the first standard. I used to go to a private school in Makkah. But now, since last year I have been going to Indian International School in Jeddah. It takes me about an hour to go and another for coming. But I have got used to the routine.
