I don't actually know why but I have a bad habit of delaying everything as much as I can. I don't even study till my mom has told me a not so few times. All my posts are written some time after I want to coz I don't sit when I can.
On Sunday, I had my science practicals. And I am going to write about it now. Two days later. They went pretty good. I didn't have much difficulty in any of them. First was my physics practical. Not all students have the same practicals. Half the batch has one and the other half one. It is not selected randomly but in roll numbers. So I got the experiment of plotting a temperature-time graph of water as it cools down and the boy with the next roll number got the experiment of finding the density of a material. Mine was pretty easy. Then next in biology, I had to make a stained slide of onion peel cells and identify the given slide. The slide was parenchymatous tissue. But the boy next to me got the cheek cell experiment and had to write, draw and identify the given specimen which was a fish. This time too I got the easy one. Then the last practical, chemistry I got the heating of lead nitrate, decomposition experiment whereas my friend got the double displacement experiment of mixing barium chloride and sodium sulphate. Again I got the easy one. I also got all the easy viva questions. I hope to do get full marks in the practicals.
One thing I forgot is the scene in the chemistry lab when I was writing down the experiment. All the boys near me, well almost three feet apart were asking for my help. Among them a few had different experiments. And I helped them. I don't cheat but if I don't help them I won't be able to write the next exam.

The Past Three Days
Since a few days i haven't been regularly updating my blog. The main reason I don't have much to blog about and I am a bit busy with studying (yes I sometimes do that sort of things) for my exams which are trying to make sure I don't survive this year. On Wednesday I ate Al-Baik for dinner. It is a very special kind of broasted chicken unique to Jeddah, Makkah and Madina. The special thing about it is it is very tasty as a result it always has a lot of rush in the restaurant. They have got enough staff working to speed up the process but the traffic in the area is also very high which neutralizes their speed. We took our parcel in 15 minutes but returned home about half an hour later. I even took some pictures when I was eating.

The picture above shows a large/family pack which contains the whole chicken in eight pieces. They also sell a smaller pack with half a chicken in four pieces. You also get two buns and four garlic sauce packs. I couldn't take any pics while eating as the only thing you can think of while eating Al-Baik is eating more of it.

Then on Thursday and Friday I and my fasted as it was the ninth and tenth of Muharram, respectively. On thursday after Iftaar we went to Jeddah for a small party by our cousins. It was actually a birthday celebration of the son of another of my cousins.
And today was my maths practical exam. It was pretty easy. In my set of questions was a choice between proving that the area of a parallelogram is equal to base multiplied by height by paper cutting and pasting or I had to prove the mid-point theorem by a similar method. The mid-point theorem was common to all the sets of question papers (there were a total of for sets). I solved the one of area of a parallelogram. In the viva I gave all the three answers correct. I hope to get full marks in it.
Tomorrow is my science practical exam which includes physics, chemistry and biology. I have studied for it too but I will be revising for it in a short time.

Not Gone With The Year
I know its been about two weeks since the new year started but thats not a problem for me. Many people say that when the year goes all worries and stuff like that go with it. I believe that is nonsense. Complete nonsense. Because the year may have gone but has left all its worries with us. I mean the exams come in February or March. So we have got to get busy. Start studying all the time and things like that. Most of the boys in my class are usually studying and doing nothing else but that. I must be the only one coming online these days. I don't have much difficulty in any subject. But still exams are exams. Moreover it is a board exam so any type of questions can come from anywhere. We have to thoroughly revise the text book, the sample papers and the guides. So what the use of a year going. The actual year starts in March.
In the past few days
Its been more than a week since I wrote a post. It was because my DSL connection had expired. But now I am back online. In the past few days nothing special has happened. My exams are going to start. I have practicals on Saturday and Sunday, then from 13th february the regular exams. The good thing is I have got enough time to revise between the exams.
Once one of my cousins told me that I should blog about what I think instead of what I do. So thats what I am gonna do from now on.

Just another Holiday
Today was just another holiday for me. I woke up at about 11 and after having breakfast watched some TV. My sisters and brother came home at about 1:30 and then my mother at 2:30. Today I also completed reading my e-book. It was of 397 pages but the one which I was dying to read and after reding it I felt as if it was over too soon. It was the last among the seven-book series. And it was too good to be over. After that I didn't do much. Just sitting and then at around six my father came back from Madinah where he went yesterday for some work. Then it was the same as before.

School Started
Today was the first day of the third semester. As usual I got up at six in the morning. There was very little sunlight by the time I went out to my stop (the place where my bus waits). I didn't feel sleepy in the bus. I reached the school at about 8:20. Many boys in my class were absent and the class seemed very quiet in the beginning. The only subjects taught today were english and mathematics. That too in english just one notice and about three problems in mathematics. In the last period we were taken to the auditorium. The headmaster of the classes sixth-eight had passed away and we were there just praying for him. It was announced that there will be a holiday tomorrow due to the reason. And after that I was back on my way home. This time also I didn't sleep in the bus. Actually, I rarely sleep in the bus. After coming home at about 4:30, I had my lunch, prayed Asr, waited for Maghrib and after praying it about six I went to sleep. I then woke up at around 8:30, read a e-book I had downloaded earlier and nothing much after that.

Eid to Now
Here, Eid was on Wednesday and on Thursday some of my paternal cousins from Jeddah came over. I went back to their home with them however while going there we had ice-cream. After that it was much fun. We didin't sleep the whole night; watched some TV and played cricket. We slep at 5 in the morning. The following day was Friday so we had to wake a bit earlier for the Salah. We didn't do much after that. This night too was the same. Then at 5 pm the next day we set out for the beach called Abhur. There we flew kites for some time and then barbecued chicken, which we had brought completely spiced and ate after making. Then we sat for some time and came back home. While coming we had ice-cream again. This night was also the same and so was the next night. On saturday we went to the house of my paternal cousin's paternal cousins. There it was very boring. After I came back to my cousin's home in some time my mom and dad come to take me. Then at 1:30 at night I was back at my home.
Yesterday, that is on Sunday we went to the Haram Museum. It was brilliant. I had shot some videos there. I will soon extract take some pics from that.
